Orange Grove House in Postira is not your
typical holiday home by the sea. Originally
a convent, it is unusually spacious with large,
airy rooms, all of which have lovely views
either over the harbour or the secluded,
totally enclosed garden behind the house,
much of which is taken by a citrus orchard.
The property's size, the nature of its actual
construction out of Brac stone, and its sound
-proof qualities make it very suitable for two
families to share a holiday there, each one
having a floor to themselves, and sharing
the TV room, kitchen, dining terrace and
sun terrace for meals and recreation.
This unique house is close to a beach.
The local hotel has a lovely solarium and
swimming pool, and from Postira you can
sample Brac life which includes: tennis,
scuba diving, swimming, boating or flying!
Orange Grove House is in a prime
location on the waterfront, and quite
simply a really wonderful house !
The house is only 6km from Supetar, the
pretty little ferry port for Brac, and the
journey from Split Airport to Brac is an
enjoyable experience as you can sunbathe
on the top deck of the ferry.
Set slightly back from the sea, the house
occupies a central position in the village,
only a minute's walk from the local fruit
and vegetable market, supermarket, bakery,
post office and bank. Fresh fish can also be
bought from the fishermen on the quayside.
Postira is much more tranquil than Supetar
or Bol, but close enough for guests to be
able to participate in the vibrant life of both.
Beaches abound on the island . .
